Local foodie, @socialsami, used our Italian-inspired herb blend, Table 40 to prepare the perfect beer can roast chicken.
Here’s what you’ll need:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 whole chicken
- Sergio’s Seasoning
- Table 40 Seasoning
- 2 cans of beer of your choice
- 1 bunch of Green Onions
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Pour 1/3 of one can of beer into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Place the open beer can in the center of the baking dish and lower chicken onto the can so it is standing upright.
- Rub Sergio's Seasoning and Table 40 over the entire chicken.
- Bake the chicken at 350ºF for approximately 45 minutes.
- Remove from oven and add additional 1/3 can of beer to the baking dish.
- Sprinkle chicken with chopped green onions.
- Continue baking until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 30 additional minutes.
- Let the chicken rest 10 - 15 minutes.
- Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
