A delicious breakfast can set the tone for your day, and it’s even better when it’s quick and easy to pull together. Toast is a versatile breakfast staple that can be customized to your food mood, and for this recipe we’re going with something yolky, crunchy, and savory to start the day.
We’re taking this simple recipe to the next level with the bold flavor of our Sergio’s Seasoning that pairs so well with fresh veggies (and just about everything else).
Here’s what you’ll need to make this quick and delish breakfast toast for yourself:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 slice of bread of your choice, toasted
- Sergio’s Seasoning, to taste
- 1 soft-boiled egg
- Fresh cucumber, sliced
- Fresh tomato, sliced
- 1 – 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 fresh lemon (or lemon juice)
- 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
- Place egg in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 3 to 5 minutes (if egg is room temperature, cook for 1 minute).
- Remove from pot using a slotted spoon and run under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
- Toast the bread and spread with an even layer of cream cheese.
- Arrange cucumber slices on the toast and sprinkle with Sergio’s Seasoning to taste.
- Create another layer with the sliced tomato and sprinkle with Sergio’s Seasoning.
- Squeeze the lemon juice over the tomato and drizzle with olive oil.
- Remove the shell and place the egg on top of toast.
- Sprinkle on a little more Sergio’s Seasoning, and enjoy the yolky goodness!
