When comfort food calls, nothing hits quite like a creamy, golden-topped macaroni bake. But we’re taking it up a notch — with a burst of bold, classic Golden Steer flavor. Featuring steakhouse favorite Sergio’s Seasoning and Italian herb-flavored Table 40 Seasoning breadcrumbs, this upgraded version of a baked mac delivers the nostalgic taste of home, plus the legendary charm of a Las Vegas steakhouse.
Ingredients:
For the Macaroni:
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon Sergio’s Seasoning
For the Toasted Breadcrumbs:
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Table 40 Seasoning
Directions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour to form a roux. Cook for 1–2 minutes until slightly golden. Slowly whisk in milk and cream, stirring until smooth and thickened (about 5 minutes).
- Remove the sauce from heat. Stir in shredded cheddar, Gruyère, and Sergio’s Seasoning. Mix until cheese is fully melted and sauce is smooth.
- Fold the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce. Pour mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix panko with olive oil (or melted butter) and Table 40 Seasoning. Stir until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle seasoned breadcrumbs evenly over the macaroni. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling around the edges.
- Enjoy!
