Some recipes become instant staples — and this creamy lemon parmesan pasta is one of them. Inspired by the dish from @chef_lec, it’s rich without feeling heavy, silky from freshly grated parmesan, and bright from the juice and zest of two lemons. Maitre d’Butter builds the base — garlic, herbs, and butter melting together before the cream goes in — while The Showgirl Seasoning and Table 40 Seasoning do the finishing work, adding depth and complexity in place of plain salt and pepper. It comes together in about 20 minutes and works beautifully on its own or as the base for whatever protein you’re working with.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta of choice
- 2 tbsp Maitre d’Butter
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Juice and zest of 2 lemons
- ¾–1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, plus more to finish
- ½–1 cup reserved pasta water
- The Showgirl Seasoning, to taste
- Table 40 Seasoning, to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil, to garnish (optional)
Directions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Before draining, reserve about 1 cup of pasta water.
- Build the base: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the Maitre d’Butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cream: Pour in the heavy cream and let it gently simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Add lemon and parmesan: Stir in the lemon zest and juice, then slowly whisk in the parmesan until melted and smooth.
- Adjust consistency: Add a splash of reserved pasta water until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
- Toss the pasta: Add the cooked pasta and toss until every piece is coated. Season with The Showgirl Seasoning and Table 40 to taste.
- Finish: Top with extra parmesan, fresh herbs, and another squeeze of lemon for extra brightness.
- Enjoy!
