Our Toasted Ravioli is one of the most popular appetizers on the Golden Steer Steakhouse menu. We've recreated this fan favorite using two seasoning blends from The 308: A Seasoning Set.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- Flour, for dusting
- Bread crumbs, for dusting
- 12 fresh cheese ravioli
- Vegetable oil, as needed for deep-frying
- Fresh-grated Parmesan Cheese
- Parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon of Sergio's Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons of Table 40 Seasoning
- 5 cups tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon white wine
DIRECTIONS
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and milk until well combined.
- Place the flour and bread crumbs in two separate bowls.
- Prepare the ravioli in batches by first dusting them in the flour, shaking off the excess.
- Add the ravioli to the egg-milk mixture and coat well.
- Toss the ravioli in the bread crumbs, shaking off the excess.
- When you're ready to cook, carefully add the ravioli to the hot oil and deep-fry until golden brown, about 1 or 2 minutes.
- Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Top with parsley and Parmesan, and serve with a side of the house-made Marinara Sauce.
Marinara Sauce Directions
- Heat the olive oil in a stockpot over medium heat.
- Add in the garlic, Sergio’s Seasoning, Table 40 Seasoning, and Tomato Puree
- Stir well, and let the mixture cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the white wine and reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Don’t forget to season to taste and ensure you taste as you go.
- Serve with the ravioli and enjoy!
